German-based pianist Rei Nakamura has been devising conceptual programmes using electronics, movement and video since 2007, each year following a theme with commissions from different composers. Her intention is to create and seek for an entirely new type of performance, both visually and aurally examining the interrelation of movement and sound. Her intention is also to encourage collaborations between composers and artists without boundaries of nationalities in order to achieve a diversity of repertoire. So far 50 pieces are in her repertoire.
